Skanlab AS is located in Fredrikstad, Norway.

​

Skanlab was established by engineer Nils Syvertsen and others, in 1988.

​

They developed a device primarily for use in sports injuries.

The tank was a device, built on capacitive current, according to the capacitor method, where the heat would penetrate deeper into the tissue. This is to speed up the healing of sports injuries.

After the first years, it turned out that this device not only showed good results on sports injuries, but also in many conditions that physiotherapists and other therapists encountered in their everyday lives.

The device was named Skanlab, and this also eventually became the name of the company.

​

Skanlab treatment was used extensively in top sports in Norway, and rumors began to spread to other top sports in Scandinavia, and further in Europe. Skanlab has received many pictures of national and international top athletes who have used Skanlab in the treatment of acute injuries, with very good results.

Many people also use Skanlab treatment to prevent injuries.

 

The Skanlab device itself is produced locally in Norway. We have a high level of expertise associated with the company. We place emphasis on local highly competent suppliers and partners.

Skanlab AS is ISO certified according to ISO 13485: 2016 standard, and the human device itself is certified according to MDD (Medical Device Directive) 93/42 EEC.

​

New owners joined Skanlab AS in 2018. The company is now owned by 2 families. One owner has worked in the company for over 20 years.

General Manager of the company has been on the board for over 20 years and has been the general manager for 5 years.
